Res Arcana

A fantastic game. Makes you think. Many elements to consider. Lots of strategy but plays quickly. We played it with a mix of 30 - 65 yr olds. All enjoyed it. Probably not for new to serious board gamers. We will get the expansions definitely.

Clean Engine Builder

Enjoyable engine builder first to 10 points triggers games end. Ending the game doesn't always insure victory though opponents maybe creating the perfect engine to get 10+ points in their final turn. The initial game feels a bit hit and miss getting 3 cards from your mage and 7 random cards. The random cards can work very well or just nominally and there are also some very powerful cards you might just be lucky to get. Once you get two or three games under belt you can move to drafting your initial deck which is where this one shines theory crafting your draft and seeing if your build wins the day.
