1/144 RX-78F00/E Gundam (EX-001 G.L.R.S.S. Feather Unit) Model Kit (Chemical Recycle Ver.)

The RX-78F00/E Gundam (EX-001 G.L.R.S.S. Feather Unit) Chemical Recycling Ver., the first plastic model kit made using chemically recycled resin. Initially released at THE GUNDAM BASE POP-UP WORLD TOUR in OSAKA and other venues in April 2025 for the OSAKA World Expo, it is now available as a regular release!

Chemical recycling is a recycling method where used plastics are chemically broken down and returned to their raw materials to be reused. This allows used plastic to be reused as high-quality recycled plastics.

To create this item, BANDAI SPIRITS collected used runners from plastic model kits from users, and PS Japan performed chemical recycling on them alongside other used polystyrene materials into monomers, which BANDAI SPIRITS purchased to use as raw materials for plastic model kit production.
Each item uses 44% chemically recycled plastic by weight.

BANDAI SPIRITS and PS Japan have been researching chemical recycling using plastic model kit runners since 2021, and it has reached a phase where it can finally be put to practical use for the first time.
